Description

London 1862 English hallmarked solid silver set of 6 shell picture back coffee or tea spoons by famous maker George Adams of Chawner and Co., the most important spoon makers of the mid 19th century.

Lovely quality spoons with shell bowl in front as well as in back of spoon, and with double struck foliate engraved stems, made with the superior craftsmanship that is expected from this fine maker.

Lovely elongated egg shaped bowls.

Size-4.75 inches each.

With one pin head sized mark to one bowl, and a push to one shell heel, mentioned to be absolutely accurate, they are in overall very good condition.
