19thc Solid Silver 45 Piece Austro-hungarian Canteen of Table Cutlery for Six People.

Description

19th century, set of solid .800 Austro-Hungarian hallmarked silver cutlery made between May 1886 and April 1922. A 45 piece canteen of cutlery for six people, with discreet monogram to the reverse of each piece.

The set comprises six 7 piece place settings consisting of 6 each dinner and luncheon forks, dinner and luncheon knives, dessert spoons, tea spoons and coffee spoons. The knives have stainless blades. One seven piece place setting is shown in photo.

Length of dinner knife is 10.5 inches, while the dinner fork and dessert spoon are 8.5 inches long.

In addition there are 3 serving pieces consisting of 2 cold meat forks and 1 ladle.

In excellent condition, and with an elegant simple design, this is wonderful value for a solid silver service of cutlery, which will go with any decor.

A lovely flatware service in excellent condition.
