Description

19th century cast and silver plate large pair of salts in the guise of shells upon the sea bed, with traces of interior gilding to interior. Although unmarked examples, these can only have come from a superior firm such as Elkington, who were known to make such things.

Size 3 inches long by 2 inches wide shell only, 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches including base.

Weight-485 grams.

Very realistically and beautifully crafted, unusual, and in very good condition.
