Handsome Antique English Silver Plated Bottle Holder C.1900

Description

A wonderful late Victorian or Edwardian bottle holder by a top-notch silversmith, "Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company" of Regent Street, London.

The foot and rim are beautifully decorated with raised borders and the pierced or reticulated body has a garland running around it with Lion's heads. Each side of the holder are two large regal looking Lion's ring handles, very English and very grand in appearance.

Excellent condition, the base measuring 5 1/4" in diameter, the rim measuring 4 3/4", spanning 6" handle to handle and standing 5 3/4" tall.
