A fine quality solid silver Chatelaine of large size and with all the original pieces. The chatelaine is of Renaissance revival design, with a frame in four individual parts united with chains. The five items of the chatelaine hang from the central frame a different junctions, all with the original chains. The items included are: scent bottle, note pad, scissor sheath, needlecase, and mirror. The Chatelaine is hallmarked throughout for the maker: Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders and James Francis Hollings Shepherd. The assay offices vary over the chatelaine from London, Birmingham and CHester, the dates are all 1900.
