Stunning Boucheron of Paris Gold and Silver Ladies Compact

1900 - 1920
Description

We are delighted to be able to offer for sale this magnificent quality rose gold and silver ladies travelling compact from the opulent 1920's era, this gorgeous item has a thick cut rose gold pierced grill decorated with exotic birds and butterfly's the top has been further encrusted with cabochon cut ruby's ,releasing the rose gold reeded spring loaded clasp reveals the finely fitted four section interior with three reeded hinged sections and a fourth open section, along with two lift up lipstick holders both complete with bright red lipsticks of the period, the inner pierced lid is enclosed by a pair of reeded silver flaps that when released spring open to reveal a pair of mirrors and the rear of the pierced grill , the whole exterior made from solid French hallmarked silver, an absolute delight for the special lady in your life.

The condition for a travelling item such as this is very good , there are minor age related marks and minor dinks underside, but overall it is a fabulous item not to be missed.
