Handsome Antique English Silver Plated Egg Cruet by Walker & Hall C.1900

Description

A fabulous example of a late Victorian / Edwardian egg cruet for four, standing on four ball and claw feet.

The stand is beautifully pieced or reticulated with a heavy bead and rope edging. The four egg cups are lavishly gilded on the inside with repousse decoration, the set comes with four silver plated egg spoons.

The underside reveals the makers mark for the top notch English silversmith, Walker and Hall of Sheffield. The top of the stand incorporates a lovely carrying handle in a foliate and ribbon design.

Excellent condition, the stand has a diameter measuring 6 3/4" and stands 8 1/4" tall to top of handle.
