A Stylish Four Piece Hallmarked Silver Tea Set in the Art Deco Style.

A handsome solid silver tea set in Art Deco style. This excellent quality set comprises, teapot, milk jug, sugar bowl and hot water jug (which would double as a coffee pot if required).

It is of octagonal form with pedestal bases. The interiors of the milk and sugar are gilded. The set weighs a hefty 54 troy ounces (including handles and knops) and is both decorative and practical.

Condition :- Very good with no splits or holes. The hot water jug has a dimple just below the rim, commensurate with age and use.

Hallmarks :- Sheffield town mark, maker's mark, sterling lion and date letter small y.

Maker :- F B (G) Ld. (untraced).

Teapot :- 28.5 cms. (outside of handle to tip of spout).

13 cms. Width.

15 cms. Height (to top of knop).

Water Jug :- 22 cms. (outside of handle to tip of spout).

11 cms. Width.

19 cms. Height (to top of knop).

Weight :- 54 troy oz. (including handles and knops).
