Early Victorian Mahogany Scroll Fender Stool Circa 1850

Description

Measuring 62" (1.58m) in length, this VICTORIAN MAHOGANY FENDER STOOL with SCROLLED CARVED ACANTHUS LEAF ends and RIBBED front and back, dates from circa 1850.

It is covered in a wool tapestry specifically made for the STOOL and dated in one corner (circa 1910). It has some wear.

It would be suitable either in front of an open fire or in front of a sofa.
