Fine Quality Pair of Ormolu Candlesticks with Entwined Dolphins

A superbly decorative pair of early 19th century ormolu candlesticks with entwined dolphins, of fine quality.

At the edge of the sconce is a leaf decoration and this fits into the leaf design candle holder.

These are supported by three entwined dolphins that form a tri-form base, each terminating on three bun feet.

These pieces are typical of the height of the Regency period & are very influenced by the designs from the Brighton Pavilion.

They are in original condition although could be professionally cleaned.

There is slight rubbing to the gilt on the dolphin heads which is not uncommon for items of this age.

These candlesticks are very decorative pieces that would suit any setting.
