An Extremely Rare Novelty Silver Trinket Pot with Pot Pouree Resevoir.

An extremely rare item of Chester silver. A delightful capstan shape trinket pot with hinged lid. The lid has a beautifully pierced grille and gilded interior to contain pot pouree. The body has a velvet and silk lined area for small jewellery items. A rare and desireable collectors item, both decorative and useful.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits. Some staining to the silk lining, commensurate with age and use.

Hallmarks :- Full set to base, matching part sets to both lid and grille. Loss to the Maker's mark.

Diameter :- 7.75 cms. (base area).

Height :- 4 cms.
