Description

A rare early Victorian silver bladed fruit knife with a lovely tortoiseshell handle. The blade is marked only with date letter and maker's mark and folds firmly inside the handle.

Condition :- Very good with no dents or splits. The handle has a small blemish near to the edge of the first pin, which does not travel through. Age and use related wear (photo 4).

Hallmarks :- Only date letter and Maker's mark present. (Not unusual on small early items).

Maker :- William Barber.

Length :- 13 cms (open).

7 cms (closed).
