An Unusual Design Georgian Silver Wine Label.

19th century
Description

A most attractive Georgian silver wine label, dating from around 1800. This beautiful example has a beaded edge, vacant cartouche and 'Claret' engraved, with a leaf above and below. It is supported on a belcher chain.

Condition :- Excellent, with no splits or dents.

Hallmarks :- Maker's mark only, struck twice (not unusual for wine labels).

Maker :- Jonathon Perkins I

Width :- 4.75 cms (widest point).

Height :- 4.25 cms (highest point).
