A fine silver bookmark, with typical long slender clip, and a very fine thistle end. The thistle bud is of etched silver and the seed head is made of a carved cairngorm stone. The piece would have been made as a Scottish souvenir. The piece is marked ''Sterling'' and a maker mark is just legible which is for Crisford and Norris ltd, of Birmingham, the ack of full marks may be because it was made for export. The whole is in good condition and a charming quality article. C.1900
