French Silver and Cut Glass Claret Jug

A beautiful silver and crystal claret jug. The jug has a silver handle, collar and lid, all of which is chased and cast to the highest standard and in the style of the French Neoclassical revival. The crystal body of the Jug is moulded and cut, and of a very heavy quality crystal. The jug is in untouched condition, the silver is unmarked, but has been tested as solid silver. From other examples of claret jugs it is highly likely that this jug was made in Paris, C.1870
