Chester 1917 Solid Silver Very Good Quality Small Fork.

Description

Chester 1917 English hallmarked very good quality small fork, made of a heavy gauge of silver. It was hallmarked in the Chester assay office which closed in 1962. Therefore, Chester silver is very collectable in its own right.

Made by William Henry Stokes and Arthur George Ireland of the firm of Stokes and Ireland.

With lovely shaped tines, this is an excellent fork to use for relishes, olives, pickles, butter, lemons and the like.

Size-3 1/8 inches long by .5 inches wide.

Weight-7 grams.

In very good condition, this would make a wonderful gift, and an asset to table or bar.

Serpentine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.
