Description

A wonderful late Victorian biscuit box with an automated hinged lid, when the handle is moved away, the lid is lifted, making this technically a biscuit server.

The glass is beautifully cut and the top of the silver plated lid is decorated with an attractive engraved design; the underside of the lid bears the maker's mark for the silversmith, Thomas Woolley of Birmingham.

Excellent condition, measuring 9" tall to top of handle.
