Dating to the late Victorian era, around 1890/1900, this is a very stylish Arts & Crafts biscuit box made from glass and silver plate.

The domed lid is closed with a clip to the front and the magnificent stylized handles span 8" across.

The back of the collar is where the makers mark (cupid) is found for the well renowned silversmith, John Grinsell & Sons, there is also a patent number.

Excellent condition, measuring 5" across the lid and stands 5 3/4" tall.
