Description

A lovely impressive example with a lid measurement of 5 1/4" x 3 1/4" and standing 2 1/2" tall.

This glamorous box is made from English sterling silver and standing on four cabriole legs. The silver is hallmarked for Birmingham 1925.

The beautifully shaped lid is scalloped and frames the large piece of tortoiseshell with exquisite and highly decorative pique inlay.

The lid fits perfectly and once opened reveals the original silk lining. Excellent condition.
