Either side are the pepper and mustard pots held within coiled rope holders. All of this stands on a naturalistic base.

On the child's back a diamond shaped English registration lozenge can be found allowing us to date this design to January 1873.
Exquisite in every way and remaining in excellent condition, the base measures 4 3/8" x 3" and stands 5" tall.
