Marked Paramount Finest Silverware, which is believed to be from Australia, this most unusual service comprises a large punch bowl on pedestal stand including 12 matching weighted glasses all embellished with a relief mounted cast decoration of a naturalistic grapevine with leaves and bunches of grapes. All pieces stand on stepped pedestal bases.
It can hold a large quantity of liquid or a good number of bottles for chilling and display.
Rather than the standard cups more normally found, these tall glasses are more generous in size, easier to hold and much more attractive.
The entire set is quite heavy, and the addition of the fitted box makes it even more unusual. It is a very convenient place to store and protect the service when not in use. The gilt line embellished bespoke leatherette case is velvet and satin lined, opens with two lids that open flat, and closes with two secure catches.
Size-bowl 9 inches high by 13 inches diameter overall. Interior depth is about 6.5 inches. Glasses-4.5 inches high by 2.75 inches diameter.
Size of bespoke case-23 5/8 inches long by 20 5/8 inches wide by 13.5 inches high.
Weight-bowl 2.2 kilos, glasses approximately 3 kilos total for the 12.
