Glasgow 1893 Heavy Solid Silver Bright Cut Sugar Tongs.

Description

Glasgow 1893 Scottish hallmarked solid silver very pretty and heavy pair of sugar tongs engraved with shaped stems having a foliate bright cut design.

These heavy tongs are substantial, and beautifully made by Robert Scott. They are very clearly hallmarked with the year struck twice.

Size-4.5 inches long.

Weight-32 grams.

A lovely pair of tongs with thick gauge of silver, and a pretty decoration to blend with any other silver.

There is an area for personalisation within the design on the top arch of the tongs if desired.

Very collectable Glasgow silver in very good condition. Glasgow silver is scarce and very collectable, as the assay office closed in 1964.
