Description

A wonderful and heavy Victorian silver plated circular salver, beautifully decorated with all-over Fern decoration framed by a rim with a double beaded border. The centre has a vacant cartouche.

It stands on three handsome Lion's paw feet. The underside has a wonderful full set of marks for the very well renowned silversmith, James Dixon & Sons. This one is lucky enough to have the sought-after diamond shaped English Registration lozenge which allows us to date this piece to April 28th, 1874, making this a true Victorian example.

Excellent condition, measuring 12 1/4" in diameter.
