Description

Vintage 20th century serpentine chest of drawers in flame mahogany, a handsome and compact piece of good quality, made in the Georgian style.

It is fitted with four long drawers, each with a cockbeaded edge and a pair of brass swan-neck handles on pierced rosette backplates, providing practical storage in a small footprint.

The serpentine top has a moulded edge, echoed by the shaped front and moulded base, and the chest stands on shaped bracket feet.

The mahogany displays a stunning flame figure across the drawer fronts and top, with a warm, rich colour.

Presented in good condition, it is a very desirable piece, ideal as a bedside chest or for a hallway or smaller bedroom, a perfect addition to any traditional interior.
