The top is finished with a simple boxwood line inlay to the edge, while the sides are panelled and neatly finished. The compact proportions and four-drawer configuration make it a practical piece for bedroom or occasional storage.

CONDITION REPORT:
Good overall antique condition, with wear commensurate with age and use. The drawers run smoothly. There are some light surface scratches, small knocks, scuffs and areas of wear to the top, drawer fronts and sides, together with minor age-related marks as shown in the photographs. The polished surface has some variation in colour and finish consistent with age. The brass handles are aged and show some surface wear. The chest remains structurally sound and presents well, with a good colour and attractive figured mahogany throughout.
