N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this Georgian Mahogany Bachelors Chest to the Georgian era.

There are four drawers each of which have lovely bow fronts with turned handles. Each of the drawers have nice inlay to the edges and wonderful wide stringing inlay to the drawer fronts which sets them off beautifully.

The top has the most exquisite banded inlay to the top which is exceptionally detailed. Also when the chest need to be used as a desk there is a drawer out leaf. The chest is then raised on a lovely splayed feet and a lovely shaped skirt. The mahogany is a lovely rich colour as can be seen in the photographs.

The approximate MAXIMUM dimensions are:
40 inches (101.5 cm) wide.
23.25inches (60 cm) deep.
36.25 inches (92 cm) high.
In addition the height leaf when drawn out is approximately 33.75 inches (88.5 cm).
As can be seen from the above dimensions this chest of drawers is of lovely proportions.

AGE: The chest is GEORGIAN dating to circa 1800.
CONDITION:
From the photographs you can see that this is an exquisite piece of furniture which is in exceptional condition especially as it is over 200 years old, just minor marks commensurate with age, and very careful use.
