This 1930 Art Deco set comprises six cocktail picks crafted from sterling silver with multicoloured enamel cockerel finials on slender tapered shafts. The group sits securely inside an original fitted fan-shaped blue leather case with cream satin upholstery and a brass clasp. Each stick bears a sterling silver mark, and the interior displays gentle toning to the fabric alongside minor age wear to the leather exterior. The pieces function practically for serving appetizers during entertaining. A home today accommodates this item easily on a sideboard top during drinks parties or gatherings, offering a practical yet decorative accessory for guests to use.

Cocktail picks became popular barware accessories during the 1920s and 1930s cocktail era, designed for holding garnishes such as olives and cherries. Silversmiths adorned the finials with enamel designs, often featuring animals, sports, or nautical motifs.

These items are typically crafted from sterling silver or silver-plated metals, topped with cold enamel or vitreous guilloche enamel finials. They were frequently sold in leatherette or velvet-lined presentation cases.

Authentic pieces feature silver purity hallmarks or makers stamps along the stem. The enamel work should display hand-applied detail, and complete sets are usually housed in custom fitted velvet or satin presentation boxes.

Display the set open in its original fitted case on a bar cart, tray, or sideboard alongside glass decanters and vintage barware to create an authentic entertaining vignette.

Clean the silver stems carefully with a dedicated silver polishing cloth, avoiding abrasive creams or submersion in liquid cleaners that could damage the delicate enamel work or backing.
