Description

Fine Edwardian mahogany dressing chest dating from circa 1900

The raised back incorporates a large central mirror flanked by two smaller shaped mirrors

Carved crests and scrolling details give the piece an elegant Art Nouveau influence

The two side compartments are each fitted with a useful small drawer

The original registration plaque is marked REGD No 385263, dating the design to 1902 - please see close up photo

Bought from a private house sale in London's Camden

The lower chest offers two short drawers above one full-width drawer

Finished with decorative brass handles and raised on turned legs terminating in castors
