This stunning, fine and impressive antique agate ring has been crafted in 9ct yellow gold.

The substantial antique ring setting displays an oval carved agate panel, ornamented with a carved intaglio.

The finely hand-crafted intaglio depicts a nude cherubic, allegorical figure carrying a large bunch of grapes; this is a popular motif from classical antiquity representing the harvest and abundance, in addition to often being associated with Bacchus/Dionysus.

The surrounding setting is plain and unembellished, melding with the bifurcating ring shoulders and blending seamlessly with the plain ring shank.
