Antique Heart Padlock Fancy Gate Rolled Gold Bracelet

Description

This beautiful Antique Gate Bracelet has a rolled gold heart padlock fastening with beautifully designed gated links, modelled in bright Rolled Gold, dating to circa.1910.

Padlock bracelets became popular during the Victorian period, worn by women whose significant others were leaving for an extended period. The bracelet would be locked onto the woman’s wrist by the padlock charm, to which only her beloved would have the key- they would then open it upon his return.

This bracelet is a quality example of this style and is in great condition.
