C1900 Carved Giltwood Three Arm Chandelier

Description

Gilt wood three arm chandelier with a steel hook to the top and turned central column. The three turned arms are finished with carved decoration and the chandelier is finished at the bottom with a large carved finial. Fitted with three B22 (large bayonet) bulb holders. The width is measured between the centres of the bulb holders.

We source and lovingly restore unique one-off pieces, using traditional hand finishing techniques.

In our specialist restoration workshop, we put the craftsman at the heart of what we do with care, authenticity and pride.

You can arrange your own transport or collect in person. We ship worldwide and have extensive experience of wrapping carefully so you can shop with confidence! We often deliver for free to mainland UK - please contact us to discuss.

You can also view items at our restoration workshop by appointment only.

Our lighting has all been lovingly restored, tested and earthed but will need to be installed by a qualified electrician. All of our furniture has been through our antique restoration workshop.

A giltwood chandelier is a decorative ceiling-mounted light fixture crafted from carved timber covered in gesso and finished with thin layers of gold leaf or gilt paint. Popular during the 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries, these fixtures combine decorative woodcarving with reflective gilded surfaces to enhance room illumination.
