Vintage 0.74 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, Circa 1940

Description

A perfectly proportioned late Art Deco engagement ring, set with a bright and lively natural old European cut diamond. The centre stone is held in a four-claw collet, with geometric detailing in the gallery. The striking scrolling shoulders are set with eight (four each side) eight cut diamonds, leading to a slender 14k white gold shank.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from WGI.

Cut:  Old European cut in the centre. Eight-cut diamonds in the shoulders.

Colour:  K in the centre. J to K in the shoulders.

Clarity:  VS1 in the centre. VS1 to VS2 in the shoulders.

Carat:  0.74 carat in the centre. With a further approximate 0.06 carat in the shoulders.

Circa:  1940.

Size:  Q (UK) or 8 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements:  The diamond is 5.73 x 5.74mm. Sits 5.5mm from the finger.

Weight:  2.60 grams.

Metal:  14k white gold. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
