Woodbridge Antiques has dated this Silver Double Sovereign Case to the 1910s.
To the outside there is engine turned engraving across the top and bottom with a vacant central circular cartouch to the centre of the top. The hinged design has a spring loaded frame and a push button release clasp. There is a loop to the side so it can be hung from a pocket watch chain.

Fully hallmarked to the inside of the lid for maker Aaron Lufkin Dennison Birmingham 1911 and each sovereign holder rim has a date mark.
A very tactile piece, In lovely antique conditon, with only some light scuffs and scratches commensurate with age.
