Lancastrian Jewellers has dated this Gold Trombone Watch Chain to the 19th Century.
The chain was named after Prince Albert, who was said to have been fond of wearing watch chains. The Dog clip would have been used to attach the pocket watch, too, and the T-Bar would go through the buttonhole of a waistcoat to secure it in place.
Today, these are often worn as necklaces, and the clips can be used to hang a pendant from around the neck.
This rare and quality find would make a superb investment for the future.

CONDITION
This breathtaking chain is in very good antique condition throughout. The gold is brightly saturated, and the links, which do have some light thinning, are all securely connected. The dog clip and bolt ring are in great working order as well. This rare piece would be a wonderful investment and an excellent addition to anyone's antique collection.
