Salisbury Antiques Centre has dated this Edwardian Rosewood Writing Desk to the 1900s.
The timber is finely decorated throughout with delicate floral and foliate marquetry and line inlay.
To the rear is a raised, hinged stationery compartment with a pierced brass gallery, opening to reveal a fitted interior with divisions for correspondence, stationery and writing implements.
The frieze is fitted with a single long drawer, similarly decorated with floral marquetry and retaining its brass handles.
Raised on elegant square section swept legs, terminating in brass castors.
A charming and unusually well-appointed Edwardian writing table, with particularly pretty marquetry decoration and the added practicality of its extending side flaps and fitted stationery compartment.
