School House Antiques has dated this Charles II Oak Chest to the 17th Century.
Arranged as three tiers of drawers: bold geometric pattern . Each drawer fitted with brass drop handles and matching keyhole escutcheons.
The chest has a deep, mellow original colour and rich surface patina.
It stands on its block feet with a base moulding. Smooth running drawers.
A lovely, unspoilt example of late 17th century oak furniture — full of character, with a warm, deep colour that has built up naturally over the centuries.
