EUROPE AND WORLDWIDE

Through our trusted international shippers we will source the most competitive quote for delivery to your door. All items are wrapped and packed by the specialist shippers.

We are happy to make initial arrangements for worldwide shipments on your behalf. However, please note that the shipping payment is made by you the customer directly with the shippers. Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Originating from the Arak region in Persia, Sarouk rugs are recognised for their dense weave, durable wool pile, and intricate floral or medallion motifs set against rich red, rust, or deep blue field colours.

These rugs are hand-knotted using high-quality wool pile spun onto a sturdy cotton warp and weft foundation, creating a heavy and resilient textile.

Authentic pieces feature asymmetrical hand-tied knots visible on the underside, slight natural variations in dye tone known as abrash, and a dense, weighty wool pile with integrated fringe ends.

A central medallion rug serves as a grounding focal point beneath neutral contemporary furniture, introducing warmth, texture, and visual interest to modern spaces.

Vacuum regularly using a suction-only setting without a rotating brush, rotate the rug annually to balance foot traffic exposure, and treat liquid spills immediately by blotting with a dry cloth.
