Description

A beautiful top quality English sterling silver table cigar lighter. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1936 with the maker being Hukin & Heath Ltd. It has been superbly designed having Chinese coin handles that date around c1930s (the coins are nickel silver). It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 5 inches (12.6cm) across including the handles and 3.25 inches (8.2cm) across excluding them by 2.75 inches (7cm) tall and weighs 80 grams. A beautifully made rare piece.

This English sterling silver table cigar lighter dates from the 1930 period in a domestic style. The piece has a shiny silver finish and a metallic grey colour. It incorporates a rounded domed body with a central wick protruding from a threaded burner collar, flanked by two side handles fashioned from Chinese nickel silver coins, and rests upon a clear rectangular plastic support.
