Description

Very Large Georgian Copper Saucepan

English, c.1800

A fine and substantial early 19th-century Georgian copper saucepan of unusually large proportions. The pan is of heavy gauge copper with dovetailed seams visible to the base and side, retaining its original hand-forged iron handle secured with three copper rivets.

The interior shows remains of the old tinning, worn with age and use. The copper body bears hammer marks, surface scratches, and light pitting consistent with long service in a historic kitchen.

Measurements:

Length including handle: 65 cm

Diameter: 31 cm

Height: 18 cm

Condition: Structurally sound with wear and surface marks in keeping with age and use.
