In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Victorian double wardrobe is a large freestanding two-door storage cupboard manufactured during the reign of Queen Victoria (18371901), designed primarily for hanging clothes and storing linens.

Victorian wardrobes were commonly constructed from solid hardwoods such as mahogany, oak, or walnut, frequently accented with decorative flame veneers, hand-cut dovetail joints, moulded cornices, and sturdy plinth bases.

Authentic pieces usually display evidence of hand-planed woodwork, original cast iron or brass fittings, arched door panels, heavy timber construction, and natural age-related patina on the interior and exterior surfaces.

An antique wardrobe can serve as a focal point in a contemporary bedroom, dressing room, or hallway, adding architectural weight and warm wood tones to contrast against modern minimalist furnishings.

Maintain the timber by dusting regularly with a soft cloth and applying a high-quality beeswax polish twice a year along the grain, while avoiding direct sunlight and radiators to prevent drying or cracking.
