Marylebone Antiques has dated this Chippendale Mahogany Pedestal Desk to the 1900s.
It is of superb quality and is a great size, with a wide knee hole.
The front edges are canted and grooved, high quality brass handles and this sits on claw and ball legs. The back is nicely finished and the top lifts right off, so this can break down into three pieces for ease of transport. The mahogany grain patterns and colour tones are stunning throughout.

We have had this recently polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There is just some minor wear here and there beneath the polish, commensurate for age and all part of the character.
