This is a really attractive Tetex carpet which has a beautiful Ersari design to it. Tetex carpets, hand woven in very soft wool were made in Germany in oriental styles, in the early 20th Century and this one dates from around 1930.The design is an interesting quite large format Tekke Ersari style, with a repeat 3 x 6 gul pattern in wonderfully warm and vibrant shades.The carpet is in very good condition overall with a little wear to the selvedges and a good even pile.It is quite a good room size measuring 300 cms long (including the fringes) by 190 cms wide.UK insured packing and delivery is £20Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years.
