Why Sellingantiques dated this piece to THE REGENCY ERA:
Hand-painted botanical sprays: each flower study painted individually in enamels.
Moulded handles with gadrooned scalloped rim: shape used in Regency dessert services.
Apple-green ground: vibrant ground shade introduced in English porcelain around 1815.
Freehand gilded scroll borders: hand-applied gilding before printed transfers were used.
Unglazed foot rim: shows discolouration and surface wear from long handling.

A set of four Regency period Chamberlains Worcester porcelain dishes, dating from circa 1810, offers a grand serving option in fine ceramic. Each piece displays a bright apple green border framing a white central well, enriched with hand-painted garden flowers, intricate gilt scrollwork, and moulded handles. The palette combines vibrant green, white, red, yellow, and gold enamel highlights across scalloped rims. Measuring 32 cm in width and 24 cm in depth, these porcelain dishes work well displayed on a dining room sideboard top or used for serving during formal meals. They suit traditional or classic interiors as a decorative display grouping.

Chamberlains Worcester porcelain from the Regency period is recognized for its fine soft-paste body, vibrant ground colours such as apple green, elaborate gilded scrollwork, and detailed botanical or topographical hand painting executed by skilled factory artists.

These pieces were crafted using translucent soft-paste or hybrid bone china porcelain, decorated with overglaze enamel pigments, and finished with burnished mercury gilding along the molded borders and handles.

Authenticity is identified through factory marks such as painted script or impressed marks, period-correct paste weight, the precise quality of the hand-painted enamel botanical studies, and characteristic heavy mercury gilding.

These decorative ceramic dishes can be displayed upright on plate stands inside a glazed cabinet, arranged along a sideboard top, or placed flat as tabletop display pieces on a central dining table.

Clean gently using tepid water and a mild detergent applied with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive sponges, chemical cleaners, soaking, or exposure to dishwashers, which cause degradation to overglaze enamels and gold leafing.
