Vintage 0.66 Carat Transitional Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, Circa 1950

An arresting vintage engagement craft wholly in 18k yellow gold. At the centre is a bright and very lively transitional cut diamond - a cut that bridges the evolution between old European and modern round brilliants - which has been graded by HRD as J colour, VVS2 clarity. The diamond secured by four double claws at the stone''s compass points, with six (three each side) eight-cut diamonds in the shoulders, to a slender D-shaped shank.
 
Accompanied by a Natural Diamond Grading Report from HRD Antwerp.
 
Cut: Transitional cut diamond in the centre. Eight-cut diamonds in shoulders.
 
Colour: J in the centre. The sides are G.
 
Clarity: The centre VVS2. The diamonds in the shoulders are VS1.
 
Carat: The centre is 0.66 carat. With a further 0.04 carat in the shoulders.
 
Circa: 1950.
 
Size: L 1/2 (UK) or 5 7/8 (US). Free sizing available.
 
Measurements: The diamond is 5.74 x 5.79mm and sits 4.5mm from the finger.
