Salisbury Antiques Centre has dated this Satinwood Carlton House Desk to the 1900s.
The desk features a tooled brown leather writing surface, surrounded by a shaped gallery with pierced brass fretwork, and offers an abundance of practical storage.

The frieze is fitted with three drawers, each retaining its original brass swan-neck handles, and the whole stands on elegant square tapering legs terminating in the original brass castors.
The satinwood displays exceptional figuring with rich golden tones and striking oval veneered panels to the cupboards, making this an extremely decorative and practical piece of Edwardian furniture. Ideal as a centrepiece in a study, library or home office.
