Antique Silver Pepper Pot

1900 - 1920
Description

A good example of a solid Sterling Silver pepper shaker. It is a stylish and good quality piece with an unusual flared wavy base and pierced top. It weighs approximately 47g.

The body and the top are both hallmarked for Birmingham, 1919. The hallmarks are quite rubbed so I can't define the maker.

It is in good condition for its age. There are some faint surface marks and minor dinks and some areas of tarnishing but nothing detrimental and overall it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.

Approximate Measurements :

Height : 3 1/4” / 8cm

Base Width : 2” / 5.5cm
