Set of 6 Birks Sterling Silver and Glass Coasters – Circa 1920

Description

This set of six sterling silver coasters, each fitted with a clear glass insert, are marked “BIRKS STERLING” to each of the bases. Each coaster has a clean circular form with a plain silver gallery that frames the glass neatly. The glass bases are cut with a simple starburst motif, giving subtle sparkle through the clear centre. They stack neatly for storage, making them ideal for use on a bar trolley or in a drinks cabinet – circa 1920.

* Stacked or in use, they read as classic, well-made pieces intended for regular enjoyment.

Measurements:

Height: 5/8" (approx. 1.5cm)

Diameter: 3 1/8" (approx. 8cm)

Total weight of set: 233g

In good condition – The silver shows only light surface wear consistent with age and gentle handling. There are no chips or cracks to the glass.
