A Scottish Arts and Crafts Steel Hall Lantern

1900 - 1920
Description

The designer and maker of this stylish lantern is unknown, The design does bear similarities to firegrates made by Robert Adams & Co. of Shandwick Place in Edinburgh, one of which was supplied to The Queen Mary's Apartments in the Palace of Holyroodhouse*, perhaps there is a connection.

33cm high (to the top of the loop handle) x 18.5cm square

Condition: glass plates in good order, area of rust to one edge, see images
