A rare English Victorian antique solid sterling silver boatswain''s Royal Naval whistle. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1887 with the maker being George Unite & Sons. It has been superbly designed and is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs, faint marks to the ball end see final photo, It works well. It measures approx. 3.5 inches (8.8cm) long by 0.75 inch (1.9cm) wide and weighs 14 grams. A very nice quality historic military piece.
