Early 20thC English Oak Barley Twist Hall Bench, Needlepoint Seat C1920s, 95cm.
A superbly stylish English country house aesthetic, rectangular hall bench-window seat with drop in needlepoint seat.
The 95cm wide, English oak frame bench with a polychrome handwoven tapestry seat, probably of the period which we retime to be circa 1910-1920s and presented in mostly very good condition and originality.
Please note there are some crude recent brackets added to the underside of the frame, designed to strengthen frame. Currently available as it is but we may end listing and consign to our workshop for the easy repair, until then available and priced sensibly to reflect. An earlier repair suggests the central stretcher has been replaced in oak.
A generous size hall bench or window seat of considerable decorative appeal whilst a versatile bench for a day or bedroom, landing or dressing room/bathroom etc..,
